Founded by a Penn State Family, For the Penn State Family

I graduated in 1998 with a Mechanical Engineering degree as a first-generation Penn State alum. I had no idea I was kicking off a family tradition. Since then, siblings, children, friends, neighbors — and now even classmates’ kids and nieces — have all been ready to proudly shout, “We Are!”

Why Blue & White Lodging Started

When the chance came to make an investment that brought together friends, family, tailgates, and long-term growth, I didn’t hesitate. I jumped in.

That decision led to the creation of Blue & White Lodging LLC and We Are Penn State Properties LLC.

It all started with a phone call in June 2025. By July, we signed what would become our Atherton Street home. From there, the inspiration hit: build a place where I or my family would actually want to stay.

By October 2025, I knew one wasn’t enough. I trusted myself to invest again — to support the school, the State College area, and the Penn State family that welcomed me back in 1993 at Altoona. Go Ivy Leaves! And Berks summers, too.

What Makes Us Different

I’m not a hospitality major. I’m a Penn State alum, engineer, and traveler with common sense. I design every rental asking: “Would I send my own family here?”

That means:

• Short drive to Penn State campus & downtown State College for game days, graduations, and move-in weekends

• Fully equipped homes with real kitchens, fast Wi-Fi, free parking, and laundry

• Clean, comfortable, no-surprises spaces designed for families, alumni, and groups

• Responsive remote host — I welcome questions and I’m here to help make your stay easy
